Into My Coven

Its one of my last nights here in Pahoa, Hawaii, and since there isn't really much to do around these parts at this time of night besides swat away the bugs and watch tv, I figured I'd do my 'ol recent Etsy picks segment for ya'll.
Back to the Hawaii thing, its been tricky figuring out how an eternally black-clad goth/metalhead like myself was going to dress during our vacation here but I came up with some rather clever combinations that have proved to be comfy. A good choice were the black linen beach pants from Victoria's Secret, along with a swin
gy modal t-shirt. 50spf sunscreen has kept me from getting horrendously burnt (although my boyfriend wasn't so lucky. his back got deep-fried to a lovely red at Hapuna beach on saturday) and cutting all my hair off really decreased the hair-anxiety I'd surely be dealing with right now. Anways I'll put pictures up in a couple days once I get back to SF.

mighty in sorrow

Today's picks from the land of Etsy:

Ok, these boots are insanely cool. They're kind of making me want to chop the back of my heel off to squeeze into them, like the one sister does in the original Cinderella tale. Just look at that studding! Perfectly sized (I'm not a fan of giant rounded studs, I think they look dumb), and perfectly burnished. The heel has this cool angled shape to it as well. Cute re-worked Steve Madden boots

80's avant garde booties (these look a LOT like a pair of Irregular Choice booties from a couple years ago)
@ jamesrowlandshop

Black leather studded boots w/cutout detail (especially digging those pointy tips)
@ 20twentyvintage

The perfect little pair of distressed harness boots. So good.
@ 20twentyvintage

Riya garment weight spats (from badass Etsy designer Antiseptic Fashion. They do some rad corset and harness work. Definitely check 'em out.)
@ antisepticfashion

Mutated commander bag
&
Black druzy ring
From Etsy seller Jungle Tribe. I love this shop, its run by two twin brothers who make awesome apocalyptic/tribal leathergoods and jewelry.

Vintage silver ring with purple crystal
@ lanter

Portable shrine with scapular and religious medals (I think this thing is totally neat. If I had money to just toss around buying rad little vintage knicknacks all the time I would snatch this up right quick.)

black planet

Have I mentioned how much I love Etsy? Its so much more fun to browse through than Ebay and you're more likely to find better deals on things that would cost tons more on Ebay. Everything in this post was found on Etsy. Many of these items are one of a kind so once they get bought they're gone for good.

90's black lace crop top (long sleeve stretch lace tops are the best)80's/90's black lace bustier dress (ok so yeah I'm a little obsessed with black stretch lace if you haven't noticed by now)

Vintage sheer maxi dress (how cute would this be with super chunky boots? I love that its see-through which means you can change up the look of it by wearing different slips underneath)

80's flygirl cotton jacket (Urban Outfitters only wishes it could capture this kind of radness)

Best part of all these is that they're all $50 or less. Score!

80's denim lace up skirt (perfect with a tank bodysuit and some pixie boots)

Vintage skull necklace
Vintage demon cross necklace (I kind of dig this, although I'd get rid of those rhinestones since that kind of kills the whole spooky vibe)

via Lanter

I found a great shop that's a veritable goldmine of vintage religious jewelry. I can't tell you how long I've scoured Ebay for crucifixes and rosary's and never found anything really cool. But this shop has tons of old old pendants and things all for extremely reasonable prices.
